Well this was the big, hairy, white buffalo of “beaches” that the Hebsurs had yet to see in the greater San Diego area..it only took us 14 months to get here! We decided to grab take out Indian food from Sundara which is in Ocean Beach and head out to the Sunset Cliffs park and beach area. There isn’t much of a beach unless you are willing to climb down slippery sand stone and repelle the last few feet down. This sounds super easy and fun except when you have a 14 month and a 3.5 year old with you. In any case, we had a great time and saw a pretty nice sunset. I would rate this sunset up there with the great ones we’ve seen in this city. The weather is perfect, unlike in Mount Soledad….There is an unobstructed view and endless ocean unlike in the Cove..And I feel like there are less clouds and its a more direct look at the sun compared to Solana and Del Mar..In any case, all beaches have their charm and you can’t go wrong with any of them! Still my favorite will have to be the Scripps Institute beach.
Just look at those 15th percentile chubby cheeks! For those wanting to report us, the can is empty and no he didn’t get tetanus from it! Atleast he didn’t cry as much when we took it awy from him as he did with his yellow tennis ball! The minute Arvind is close to nature, the first thing he does is find a stick…not just one stick but as many as his little hands can carry! Then he will proceed to draw nonsensical designs in the sand. He also decided to make a bow and arrow and defeat Taataka, Kamsa, Voldemore, Shredder, Beebob, Rocksteady, Putana and all other evil doers he could think of!Peekaboo! Arvind is really into superheroes at the moment…but he’s also into super villians as he probably would prefer to emulate the ‘bad guys’ more. He really likes the Incredible Hulk and Captain America and today he got new super hero underwear.
Eating food from Sundara. Not bad…not the best either. Arvind posing with his beloved stick..more of this laterPoor Keshav is now 15th percentile for weight…He refuses to eat, but I don’t think its because he’s depressed..Such a happy child!Arvind and his stick…see I told you it was coming! This is right by the parking lot of Sunset cliffs…I dont’ think we’ll go there too many more times as the drive back was long and slow because of traffic getting onto I-8.
There was a wooded area where we sat down to eat our mediocre Indian food and through the clearing of the trees we could see the sunset. Not sure if Rosha will ever learn to focus properly with a camera…woe is me!
